EMO HANNOVER 2025: THE ADVANCED MANUFACTURING SECTOR’S LEADING GLOBAL EVENT
15 September, 2025• Over 1,500 companies to showcase their latest innovations in smart manufacturing technologies.• EMO Hannover 2025 will bring together 44 Spanish manufacturers who will exhibit their latest innovations in advanced manufacturing.San Sebastian, 15th of September 2025. The city of Hanover is to host the world’s leading trade fair dedicated to advanced manufacturing technologies from 22 to 26 September. With a special focus on machine tools for metal cutting and forming, production systems, precision tools, robotics and, of course, industrial digitisation, among other key areas, EMO Hannover has established itself as the benchmark event in the sector.EMO 2025 will address a wide range of strategic topics for the industry, including emerging applications of artificial intelligence, automation and sustainability. These are just some of the many focus areas that will structure the trade fair line-up, designed to reflect the diversity and constant evolution of manufacturing technologies.Some event highlights of EMO Hannover 2025 include the CECIMO press conference, to be held on 22 September, and the ceremony for the prestigious Machine Tools Innovation Awards, scheduled for 23 September. On 24 September there will be a key presentation on the latest innovations in additive manufacturing. And on the following day, 25 September, participants will enjoy the conference entitled “AI, Jobs & Automation,” which will address the impact of artificial intelligence on employment.In addition, the programme includes forums on digitisation, start-up presentations, business matchmaking sessions and exclusive activities for members, as well as an area specialising in industrial cybersecurity.In 2023, EMO Hannover drew in 1,850 exhibitors from 45 countries and approximately 92,000 professional visitors from 135 nations and all major industry sectors, such as machinery manufacturers, the automotive industry and its parts suppliers, and the precision mechanics and optics sector.44 Spanish manufacturers will be attending this year's event, presenting their most advanced production systems at the German trade fair and occupying a display area of 4,500 m². The outstanding strength of Basque companies in the sector is evidenced by the 3,466 m² to be occupied by the 32 Basque exhibitors.From the institutional realm, the following Basque Government authorities will also attend: Mikel Jauregi, minister for Industry, Energy Transition and Sustainability; Andoitz Korta, deputy minister for Industrial Promotion; José Luis Azkue, director of Industrial Development and Administration; Alicia Santamaría, Director of Basque Trade & Investment in Germany, and Nagore Bonilla, Managing Director of Basque Trade & Investment.Representatives of the Regional Government of Gipuzkoa shall also attend, as follows: Eider Mendoza, President of the Regional Council; Unai Andueza, Deputy for Economic Promotion and Strategic Projects; Amaia Arregi, Director General of Economic Promotion; Jon Gurrutxaga, Director General of Innovation.From the Basque Parliament, the following will be present: Mikel Arruabarrena, president of the Committee on Economic Development and Innovation (PNV); Ander Goikoetxea, vice president of the Committee (EH BILDU); Markel Olano, Committee Member (PNV); Jorge Juez, Committee Member (PSOE); and María Montserrat Auzmendi del Solar, Legal Counsel.
