16 June, 2026Tekniker, the technology centre, a member of the Basque Research and Technology Alliance (BRTA), and Ibernova, a company specialising in integrated industrial design, management and production solutions for industry, have strengthened their strategic partnership.
The collaboration builds on a long history of joint work between the two organisations in the industrial and technological fields, and aims to consolidate a long-term strategic alliance to move towards a more efficient, connected and intelligent industry.
The agreement focuses on three main technological areas: the digitalisation of production environments, data interoperability throughout the product lifecycle, and the incorporation of artificial intelligence technologies to enhance the capabilities of users and operators.
In the field of digitalisation, Tekniker and Ibernova will work on solutions to connect and integrate data from machines, robots and other production equipment on the shop floor, with the aim of capturing and consolidating production data in real time.
The collaboration will also address the development of a digital thread linking information across the entire product lifecycle, facilitating the secure exchange of data between companies and the implementation of tools such as the Digital Product Passport.
Furthermore, both organisations are already collaborating on R&D projects such as PULSAR, which focuses on technologies for highly variable production processes, and REMANIA, which is geared towards new remanufacturing strategies to extend the service life of machines, components and tooling.
