29 April, 2026Smartlog implements an automated intralogistics solution at Conway to improve operational efficiency. Smartlog has developed and implemented a comprehensive intralogistics solution at the distribution centre of Conway The Convenience Company, a logistics operator in the convenience and organised catering sector in Spain. The project combines automated storage, order picking and digital management technologies with the aim of optimising operational efficiency.
The solution includes a high-density AutoStore system with capacity for 27,100 bins and 56 robots, which maximises the use of vertical space and enables operation under the ‘product-to-person’ model. This system is integrated with a 128-channel Flow Rack designed for high-turnover items, as well as a conveyor system spanning approximately 64 linear metres that connects the various operational areas.
The system is managed by Galys, the software developed by Smartlog, which centralises inventory control and order planning, providing real-time visibility of all logistics processes.
The implementation has led to a 40% reduction in order processing times, a 60% increase in operational efficiency and an optimisation of floor space, reducing it from 2,000 m² to 700 m². The system manages up to 17,000 order lines and 1,700 orders per day.
From a strategic perspective, the solution provides a scalable foundation that will enable Conway to absorb growth in demand without the need to expand floor space or proportionally increase operational resources.
