FARO CREAFORM LAUNCHES METRASCAN BLACK2 TO STREAMLINE DIMENSIONAL INSPECTION ON THE SHOP FLOOR

FARO CREAFORM has unveiled the MetraSCAN BLACK2, a new generation of metrology-grade portable 3D optical scanner designed to offer greater flexibility, accuracy and productivity in dimensional inspection processes on the shop floor.

The system’s key innovation is its 3-in-1 architecture, which integrates C-Track scanning, standalone scanning and probing into a single solution. This configuration allows it to adapt to the inspection of large parts as well as confined spaces or applications requiring maximum mobility.

The MetraSCAN BLACK2 features 46 blue laser lines, achieves up to 2.8 million measurements per second and improves data acquisition speed by approximately 56 per cent compared to the previous generation. Furthermore, its flexible C-Track volume extends to 46.7 m³, reducing the need for multiple set-ups.
