14 July, 2025AGME has unveiled a new automatic riveting solution as part of an R&D initiative aimed at enhancing mechanical joining processes in demanding industrial sectors. With over 50 years of experience in riveting technology, the company reinforces its commitment to advanced automation through a system designed to offer high levels of precision, adaptability, and operational efficiency. Target applications include the automotive, appliance, and capital goods industries.
The system combines radial and orbital riveting technologies and incorporates electric axes (X, Y, Z) along with an electric riveting head. This configuration enables millimetric precision in every operation. An intuitive process control interface allows operators to program the system with ease, even without prior technical expertise.
A notable innovation is the automatic rivet tool (buterola) changer, which reduces downtime by eliminating manual tool replacement. The solution is engineered to support multiple riveting configurations, allowing rapid setup changes without complex adjustments. These capabilities contribute to production time reductions of up to 15% and a 20% improvement in mechanical joint quality.
The system is fully developed in-house by AGME’s engineering team, ensuring strict quality control throughout the process. In addition to boosting industrial competitiveness, the solution supports more sustainable manufacturing by reducing material and energy waste, aligning with Industry 4.0 goals.
