15 March, 2024From March 19-21, ABB will participate in Rebuild, the leading innovation event for the building industry, held at IFEMA Madrid. Under the theme of digitalisation and decarbonisation of the sector, ABB will be present at stand 9D428, where it will showcase its most advanced solutions.
In the field of robotics applied to construction, ABB Robotics will present a live demonstration of a robotic application for modular construction. This exhibition will focus on handling and palletising, highlighting how the incorporation of robots in building can result in safer, more sustainable and flexible processes. The implementation of these robotic solutions points to a revolution in construction, improving efficiency, productivity and occupational safety.
ABB will take advantage of the platform to delve into the growing importance of robotics in the sector, illustrating its use in 3D printing, assembly, cutting and welding of metal structures, among other applications. In addition, digital solutions such as RobotStudio® and the OptiFact™ platform will be presented, highlighting process optimisation and data management in production.
In the area of electrification and energy management, ABB's Electrification business will introduce solutions aimed at increasing sustainability throughout the life cycle of buildings, from design to maintenance. The importance of tools such as Building Information Modeling (BIM) will be highlighted and innovative products such as Niessen's ALBA switch collection, compatible with automation systems and electrification solutions connected to ABB Ability™, will be presented.
The event will also be a platform for critical discussions around sustainability and digitalisation in construction. Cecilia Acha, Global R&D Manager for ABB Electrification, will participate in the National Congress on Advanced Architecture and Construction 4.0, addressing the decarbonisation of the sector with a view to achieving the goal of zero CO2 emissions by 2050. On the other hand, Alfredo Diez-Hochleitner, sales manager of ABB Robotics in Spain, will provide his vision on the new systems for industrial construction and the fundamental role of robotics.
