CEIT is a technology center and member of the Basque Research and Technology Alliance (BRTA); its primary activity consists of developing applied industrial research projects under contract and in close collaboration with companies’ R&D and Innovation departments.
CEIT excels in four key areas related to Industry 4.0. Firstly, it specializes in advanced monitoring and instrumentation systems, covering everything from electromagnetic signals to optical sensors, offering comprehensive solutions that include hardware, wireless communications, and application software. Secondly, it stands out in indoor positioning systems, developing localization technologies for both indoor and outdoor applications in Industry 4.0, intelligent transportation, and people tracking devices. The third strength focuses on cognitive robotics, with an emphasis on virtual and augmented reality, and collaborative robotics, enabling flexible collaboration between humans and robots through advanced spatial perception and reasoning capabilities. Finally, CEIT boasts a multidisciplinary platform for intelligent production and material monitoring, contributing to efficiency and quality in industrial processes.
